• 5.0 out of 5 stars from C.T. Top Contributor: Star Trek -- Oh no, they killed [blank]! Expect to say this a lot. : STAR TREK: CODA: MOMENTS ASUNDER is a big epic disaster movie of a storyline. It reminds me most of STAR TREK: DESTINY but is even more focused on everything utterly going to Hell. The former was a war movie but this is much more an indescribable event that is beyond our heroes to deal with. Well, not quite, it is more like CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS with the old continuity of the Star Trek universe being sent to its final resting place in likelihood of a reboot that will feature a timeline closer to the Nu Trek on Paramount Plus. • 5.0 out of 5 stars from Timothy Gamble -- Best Star Trek book since the Destiny series : First of all, forget the one star review this book got. That guy obviously never read a Star Trek novel before and thought it was connected to Star Trek: Picard, which long time readers know that isn't the case. And for anyone who thinks the books are no longer canon, it seems like Coda is going to explain why the books are still canon. It is an overly long, drawn out execution without character development, hope or joy, in preparation for the transition to the equally joyless Picard timeline. • 4.0 out of 5 stars from BionicBob -- Crisis of Infinite Treks : In recent years (actually over 20, but who's counting) after the demise of televised Trek, the writers of Trekverse were given almost unlimited freedom to take the characters of the 24th Century into uncharted territory. Picard married Dr Crusher and they have a 6 year old son. Worf left DS9 to become Picard's Number One. Riker became an Admiral, with the Titan at his command. He and Troi have a 7 year old daughter. Data was resurrected. Sisko returned from the Prophets and has his own starship command. Dax also became a starship captain. The Borg returned, killing BILLIONS before being finally defeated. Deep Space Nine was destroyed and later rebuilt. Janeway was killed and later resurrected by the Q. Section 31 was finally defeated. And that doesn't even cover the half of it... especially the Archer era where he becomes a builder of the Federation. ( Reviewed in Canada on October 11, 2021 )

Great how they weave together many disparate storylines into one grand narrative. I cant wait to read how this all plays out!
